| To use these inks with chip protected
cartridges, you must have functional cartridges as well as active profiler
chips. The chips
can not be reset once used up, but they can be prevented from updating so
that they can be re-used. One method for preventing these updates can be
downloaded in a *.pdf file located here.
This file is also listed with other instruction manuals
at this location.
An alternate method for preventing chip updates is to
short the input leads on the chips to prevent data writing to the chip.
